#BOWRivoli workshop: Twitter for beginners – 21 March 2018

Ready to take the plunge on Twitter? Join us!

Are you a business owner who’s mystified by hashtags, followers? Puzzled about the difference between a retweet and a quote tweet?

Or perhaps you’ve started to use Twitter but want to go “back to basics” and fill in some gaps.

This #BOWRivoli event is for you.

Join us for a step-by-step, common-sense workshop to get to grips with Twitter, including:

  • how to write a tweet that people will want to read
  • how to follow others on Twitter
  • what hashtags to include – and why?

During the workshop on Weds 21 March we will also guide you through:

  • use and choice of images
  • replies to tweets
  • direct messages

This #BOWRivoli workshop will help you explore how Twitter can help you to promote your product or service.

It’s a hands-on event that aims to boost your confidence on Twitter and give you and your business a springboard to action.

Numbers are limited to 8 to ensure that business owners get the most out of this hands-on, participatory workshop.

**Please create an account on Twitter before you attend this #BOWRivoli workshop. This will help you to get the most out of the morning.**

Brian McGee (business content writer, consultant & trainer) will lead this #BOWRivoli session, with support from Stephen Shillito (graphic designer & owner of Rivoli Meeting Room).

Our previous #BOWRivoli workshops focused on LinkedIn, Facebook, blogging & editorial planning.

Here are a few reactions:

“fantastic training session” tax investigation expert @rbusfield on Twitter

“an informative morning on the use of social media, we learnt lots” Link Age Southwark @LASwark on Twitter

“very enlightening (…)! Learned much to implement” @GlowingRep on Twitter

Brian has also delivered social-media training for Beckenham Business Association and Croydon Chamber of Commerce.

Please note that a key element of the session on Weds 21 March is to work in partnership with other attendees.

** In that sense this is not traditional training, it’s very much a workshop. The more you take part and contribute, the more you’ll get out of the morning. **

Registration and tea/coffee is from 9h30 at Rivoli Meeting Room. The workshop itself starts at 10h sharp and ends at 12h30.

Cake (it’s delicious) is kindly provided by Blue Belle Cafe in Penge.

Numbers are limited to 8 to ensure that business owners get the most out of this hands-on, participatory workshop.

We look forward to working with you on Weds 21 March.

**Please bring a laptop or tablet.**
