2024 Midsummer Flea at Margate Caves: #oldfindsnewstories vintage pop-up

Vintage finds, looking for a new home: a fun weekend ahead

Margate Caves is the venue for Midsummer Flea, a fun get-together of vintage buyers and sellers.

#oldfindsnewstories is delighted to take part, and is already looking forward to the late autumn/early winter edition in November.

Ever visited the Caves? We’ve not got there yet either, and look forward to putting that right soon.

Hugely popular in the Victorian era, the caves were closed in 2004, but before long they were open to visitors again.

They started out as a chalk mine in the 18th century. Who knew? You can find out more here.

The white cliffs of Dover, where #oldfindsnewstories is based. Margate Caves, also made from chalk, is the venue for a vintage sale weekend in June.

From the chalk cliffs of Dover to the chalk caves in Margate…

This weekend, Saturday 15 June and Sunday 16 June, the Midsummer Flea at Margate Caves runs from 10am to 5pm both days.

Entry to the vintage get-together is free.

On our #oldfindsnewstories stall we’ll have a curated mix of vintage finds, from artwork to books via terracotta pots, glassware and home decor.

Also on offer: a few small pieces of vintage furniture sourced by #oldfindsnewstories and with you in mind.

So come along, have a browse and a chat. It’ll be grand to meet you.

We can just tell it’s going to be a wonderful weekend at Margate Caves.
