PORTFOLIO
Following almost 10 years at global news agencies Reuters and Bloomberg, I now work with business owners and editors to co-create compelling content.
Partnership with clients to create articles, blogs, website copy; digital training & consultancy

The Shard: Apex of Design
I am proud to have contributed to this project for tech hardware multinational Hewlett Packard. My client? A content-marketing agency in London.
I worked to a tight deadline, interviewing architects & engineers, providing desk research and writing. Here's an excerpt:
“In many ways the simplicity of the external façade belies the complexity behind,” says James O’Callaghan, a director at Eckersley O’Callaghan Engineers.
“That tension between energy performance and transparency has become even more of a design driver."

Trade 'breakdown' - Brexit 'dead parrot'? - styrene outlook
"As for the trade spat, it can be a big ask to be more Tigger, less Eeyore, about a global dispute of these magnitudes."
That's an excerpt from a quarterly article, published on LinkedIn, that I co-created with my speciality-chemicals client.

Digital skills training: Twitter
I worked over a number of weeks with my client, who wanted to get more out of Twitter and boost her digital skills more generally - including use of images.
“I feel far more confident now, thanks to your patient and relaxed attitude. The [digital-skills] sessions were very structured and moved along to your plan." Kathy Bance MBE, local councillor & community volunteer

Five ideas to make your workplace a source of pleasure, loyalty and productivity
I worked with my client, Installation and Refurbishment Solutions, to co-create this blog, the third in an occasional series.
Here's an excerpt: "True enough, your budget may not run to Monday's version of the hanging gardens of Babylon or a skate park for your sales colleagues."

Telex speak, Dolly Parton, toxic coffee: the workplace in five objects
"From stewing coffee to telex machines (remember those?) via that 1980s song by the queen of country, a hard day at the office has an enduring place in the modern psyche."
That's the start of a blog to mark a company anniversary. 20+ years, quite a milestone.
It was the second in an occasional series that I co-created with my client, Installation and Refurbishment Solutions.
